Overview

One socket. No compromises on capacity.

Scale-out fleets live and die on cost per node — and dual-socket servers make you pay twice: two CPUs, and per-socket software licensing on top. The KR1180 V2 puts a single AMD EPYC 9004 — up to 96 cores in our stocked configurations — behind 24 DIMM slots and ten hot-swap NVMe bays. That's double the memory slots of the usual single-socket 1U rivals, so you reach real capacity with affordable mid-size DIMMs instead of premium high-density modules. Cloud hosting, bare-metal, virtualisation: more nodes per budget, less to license.

Who is KAYTUS?

KAYTUS is a global provider of IT infrastructure — open, energy-efficient server platforms for cloud, AI and edge, backed by three factories, two R&D centres and operations across more than 70 countries. The name comes from K2, the mountain climbers rate the hardest on earth — a fair summary of the engineering standard these machines are built to. Bytehaus is KAYTUS's UK Gold Partner: every server is configured, quoted and supported locally.

Common questions.

For scale-out workloads a single high-core-count EPYC often beats two smaller CPUs: per-socket software licensing halves, NUMA behaviour simplifies, power draw falls and the entry price is lower — while still reaching 96 cores and 3TB of memory.

Often dramatically — software licensed per socket or per CPU (common in virtualisation and databases) costs half as much on a single-socket node of equal core count. Check your specific licence terms; our team can help model it.

Every KAYTUS server is built to order against your exact configuration. Typical lead time is four weeks from order, confirmed on your formal quotation — and we'll flag anything that affects it before you commit.

Every server includes a manufacturer-backed 3-year warranty and UK-based technical support from Bytehaus, covering pre-sales sizing through to post-deployment. Extended cover is available on request.
